Oh my. There is just so much to this one:

"Does not Wisdom call, does not understanding raise her voice? ...Hear, for I will speak noble things, and from my lips will come what is right." (Proverbs 8:1,6)

This reminds me of something I want to share. I recently watched the last few moments of a wonderful TV series "Friday Night Lights" about a small west Texas town whose football team and coach are the subjects around which is drawn some of the most wonderful material I have ever seen on the tube.
ReplyDeleteThe team is getting the blooody hell beat out of them...it is truly heartwrenching to watch..."coach" has to forfeit the game...you could feel their pain... and then, slowly and very tenderly, the background music with sweet harmonies, voices and string chords begins...
"Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing"... I was in tears. So much was revealed in that scene that I am still pondering it. My mother and I, who watched it together, were singing the song in harmony for the next 3 or 4 days. It was truly memorable.
I strongly recommend that you view this progam. It's impressive.
