Serenity Prayer with a twist

"Angel Serenity"

Most of us have heard the usual form of the "Serenity Prayer". But today I found this variation and I like it a lot!
God grant me the serenity
To accept the people I cannot change,
Courage to change the one I can,
And wisdom to know it's me.
I found it here.

  1. That is a fabulous prayer - so filled with truth for the only one we can ever change is ourselves - with God's help.

with your permission i will post it on my site tomorrow.

    thanks,

  3. I like this version better than the usual version. It sometimes takes more serenity and courage to accept people as they are than things as they are.

  4. People are some of the things we cannot change, Magdalena. But I like this version too, and will share it with some 1-step friends.

And Ellie, since I'm here, I love the picture "Neighbourhood of Infinity". I'm going away into the north woods with family on Thursday for a week, and your meditation blogs are high on the list of things I WILL miss.
