Veterans Day, 2008

How interesting. You know, earlier today, I looked and looked for a good image of canine veterans to post today and I just couldn't find anything. Then just now I logged onto Pundit Kitchen, one of the sites I visit every day, and there it was.

Sometimes I honestly think that the closest we come to experiencing anything like the unconditional love of God is the love we receive from our dogs. May God bless them all and help them somehow to realize how wonderfully good they are.

You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us.

  1. I never understood why people got attached to dogs. I guess it's because I've never had one, or gotten attached to any animal. But, I can see why some people love their pets more than their own friends and companions.

  2. Yes, Rose. I imagine that it's like trying to explain being in love to someone who's never had that experience.

There is just nothing like the loyalty and faithfulness of a dog. And I understand that military dogs have shown incredible bravery under fire over the years.
