It's pretty powerful stuff. My first encounter was with a somewhat prettified but stunning album, Rivers of Delight. After that I heard recordings of "the real things" like the one here. I have a copy of the The Sacred Harp among my hymnal collection. Saw it used somewhere and snaffled it up.
