Encouragement

The Little Prince encourages his rose

Dear Readers,

Forgive me for my lack a posting the past few days. I have been grieving the loss of my Diocesan position and experiencing the pain of rejection that has gone with it.

I have been encouraged by these words of St. Teresa of Avila:

Let nothing disturb thee.
Let nothing afright thee.
All things pass.
God never changes.
And also the following by Jack Kerouac!

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
May they be an encouragement to each of you as well!

  1. Thank you so much for the quote from Kerouac. I'm sorry that such personal pain caused you to search it out and post it, but it was a very insightful quote that we should be reminded of often.

  2. So glad you like the quote, Carolyn!

But I didn't search it out --- just stumbled upon it. It's good, huh? :-)

  3. God does send us quotes, friends, angels, signs from time to time when we are open to them. Bless you, my crazy, rebel, misfit, trouble-maker sister!
