"Love and Friendship" Yesterday's gospel reading is staying with me today --- mainly because some friends I care about have been in a very unpleasant conflict with each other. Here are two thoughts that I think are very wise indeed:
A friend is someone who, upon seeing another friend in immense pain,
Would rather be the one experiencing the pain,

i've always had great fondness for the hatchet quote! it's just so....visual?
