Our hearts

I'm reminding you today of what is probably the most famous saying of St. Augustine. It is certainly the first that I learned. It spoke to me powerfully as a girl. And it does today:

Thou hast made us for thyself, O God, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in thee.
